Support Marie Buchanan’s Road to Recovery

Story

My mom Marie Buchanan is the best mom and grandma, is a cherished friend, and is a high school guidance counselor for granite school district.

On May 15, she got very sick and ended up at Layton Hospital in the early morning of May 16. While at Layton hospital, she suffered a cardiac arrest lasting 18 minutes before providers were able to regain pulse.

She was then life flighted to intermountain medical center in Murray. She was on life support for a week and underwent 4 surgeries over the course of 4 days.

She is still in the ICU but is slowly moving towards recovery, she is on a breathing machine as she is unable to breathe on her own but she is able to nod and smile and can wiggle her toes.

The road to getting out of the hospital and hopefully an eventual full recovery will be a long one. Contributions will be used for hospital bills and any long term care that may be needed.
